My name is Linda. I left full time work in 1985 to start
a family. Prior to 1985 I worked for two different
companies, each time as a secretary for a small team. The
first was an accounting firm, where I worked in the insolvency
department; the second a real estate firm, where I worked in the city
leasing department. Before working I completed a Bachelor
of Arts in Secretarial Studies degree majoring in accounting at the
Canberra College of Advanced Education.
When I left full time work I wanted to continue earning money, plus
keep my typing speed and accuracy at a high standard, yet be at home
for our children. Working from home in my own business was the
perfect solution.
So here I am today still operating my small business at
home. Over the past 20 years the work has fluctuated
depending on the age and needs of my children and the amount of
advertising. Of course, I also have regulars who keep
coming back.
